My given name is Ruth Ann T. Gonzalez-King, thus my signature is R.A.T.G.K and my married name, McNeil. I think of my artwork as a "self-portrait" - the world as I see it. All genres are explored - landscapes, haunting ethnic figures, animals, still-life and more. I truly believe my abilities come through spirit.
Although I have no formal training, I have been painting and drawing for forty years. My art has been woven throughout my life, as a voice major student at Manhattan School of Music, opera singer, wife, mother, and now have the luxury of devoting myself to my artwork.
